So, things in Kansas City weren't working out as well as we had hoped, so after lots of discussion, and prayers we made the decision to move to Matt's parents place for the rest of the summer. Matt can work on his parents house, and we can be close and play with family/cousins for the whole rest of the summer! woohoo! We've been very much enjoying ourselves! (hence, I'm so behind in documenting)
I don't know what it is, but there's just something so cute about a little boy on a tractor. It's especially cute when Heath does it, because he has come to the conclusion that to be on a tractor one must have a piece of grass in their mouth.
As told to me by Matt: He had been working on one of the tractors for a bit and got it running. He needed it moved to get to something, and asked Sammy (his 14 year old brother) if he'd move it for him. Sammy said, "Sure!" and jumped right up there and started driving. When Sammy had given him such a confident response Matt just figured he knew what he was doing. As Sammy was driving away Matt's Dad came over and said, "Hey you taught Sammy how to drive the tractor!" Matt said, "No, I thought you'd taught him?" To their surprise, Sammy got to the desired location and stopped no problem. Must be in his blood.
Singing away:
On the 4th of July my cousin and his family put on a big celebration. All the family in SW Missouri area was there. We sure had a wonderful time.
The food was superb, the company wonderful, and the fireworks beautiful. It was a great night.

Flynn popped a huge batch of popcorn for everyone. Forsyth's favorite treat! Houston was ooohhing over the pan of melted butter that was to be poured over it. "...mmm...butter"

Don't worry about Houston's forehead, every time he goes out side the mosquitoes attack him. When the boys are playing outside together, Heath will be right next to Houston and untouched. Houston will have mosquitoes all over him. Must be his sweet Swedish blood.

During the amazing fireworks show (I mean like rivals any professional show I've seen in my lifetime) one of the bombs didn't make it out of the canister and exploded on the ground. This is what it left, Luke later informed us that He was the one that lit it off. oops.

That morning the boys and I had made their shirts. I put paint on a piece of fabric in lines and had them smear it into a flag with their fingers. They did so good, and I think they turned out super cute. Heath especially was so excited for the paint to dry so he could wear it.
Some cute kids. Happy 4th of July. I hope your holiday was spent like ours, pondering the sacrifices made by so many so that we could enjoy our family and blessings.
