September

Hannah loves her babies. She changes them, rocks them, carries them, pats their backs and loves to change their bums.
She almost always is taking care of a baby.

Hannah has finally started to eat like a normal human. She ate more like a bird in the first year of her life but now is becoming a little piggy like the rest of us.

Houston wanted to make a cake. He wrote down a recipe for me to follow.

"1 c Butter
4 dumps of ketchup
1 spoon of vinegar
69 c sugar
6 c lemonaide
4 dumps of potatoes
3 dumps of baby food
1 c chocolate
40 flour dumps
then we mix it up and cook it in the oven."

If Cinderella had brothers...

Hannah has adopted this little ducky as her favorite. She loves to snuggle it to sleep.

Remembering 9/11

Each year the city of St Louis hosts the Balloon Glow. It is an event where 70ish hot air balloons gather at Forest Park and the public is invited to walk around and see the balloons up close. The next morning the balloons compete in a race beginning in Forest Park. We along with several of our friends went this year. Well, turns out it was way too windy so they didn't light up any of the balloons. : ( We did get to sit in traffic for an hour or so and walk a couple miles pushing our kids. After the news of no balloons we invited all of our friends over so we could drown our sorrows in ice cream and laughs together.

Now that Houst can ride a two wheel bike on his own he asks quite frequently to ride grants trail. It is such a peaceful fun family activity! We love Grant's Trail.

Hannah loves to ask us, "What 'cha dooo?"

We took a trip home for the weekend. It was so wonderful to be out in the open spaces again with family. We were just in time to see some of Grandma's monarch butterflies.

Hannah loved this spot.

She was getting several teeth during this trip. Poor little Hannah.

The boys loved playing with Grandma's pirate and knight toys.

Hannah loved playing with Grandma's baby dolls. She made a little stroller out of one of the bikes.

This big guy was by the front door. I've always thought praying mantis' were pretty awesome.

The boys found some long weeds and had a blast jousting with each other.

I've missed this sight so much.

Heath and Hannah are so sweet together. She just loves to hug and be held by him. Houston on the other hand may have bashed her a few too many times because when he tries to be sweet to her she just screams.

We even got to see the Fo Grandma and Grandpa for a while. : ) Hannah found her favorite spot.

#4 Houston!

This handsome little man has turned 4! How is time moving so quickly?

First thing in the morning he wanted to open his package from Grandma Fo.

There were all kinds of treasures in there perfect for a 4 Houston.

Then we met some of our friends at our favorite park. It was an absolutely beautiful day. We did sidewalk chalk, the rocket launcher, rode bikes and just ran around and had fun enjoying each others company.

Houston wanted chocolate chocolate cupcakes for his Birthday. Walker really really wanted them all to himself.

Those teeth just kill me!

Hannah was trying to figure out why all those boys were so crazy.

Houston told me that he loves Andrea and wants her to be his Mommy when he's a Daddy. I'd be ok with that.

Houston hasn't shown much interest in riding a 2 wheeler in the past, but on his Birthday he just hopped on and started riding. I didn't really have to teach him anything.

I guess that's Houston, if he decides he wants to do something he WILL do it.

After his favorite lunch, quesadillas, he passed out on the couch in the quilt top I made for him for his Birthday. (maybe I'll get it finished before his 5th birthday.)

By the time Houston woke up it was almost time for Matt to get home from work. The boys wanted to be tigers and hide in the bushes to scare him. They sure got him when he made it around the corner.

It was a long 15 minute wait though...

Heath tells me that he is half monkey half boy. They love the trees out front.
