September

 Hannah has finally started to eat solid foods.  Not much and I can't get her to eat every day, but she is finally eating rice cereal. 

 The weather has been so perfect.  We have been going to the park almost every day.  Heath is getting really really good at riding his two wheel bike.

 Hannah has started this new 'sucking on her top lip' thing.  I think it is hilarious!

 She is also getting a bit more vocal.  She sings to us quite often.

 ... and she is super cute!

 I asked Matt to snap a few pictures of 'the girls' for me.  I had showed him how to shoot in manual at another time, so figured he would just do it, so some of these have funky exposures, but oh well.  She is still my sweet little girl.

 He said, "these aren't really turning out very well." Then we had another mini lesson, and he did great.  Thanks babe!

 I asked, "what are you guys doing?"  "We're beavers." (they are eating carrots)

 This is at the beginning of October, right at Hannah's 7 months old mark.   She is getting SO close to crawling.  I feel like she just barely started rolling.

 Our friend Levi and his mom and brother have been enjoying the beautiful weather with us a lot.

Heath

 Houston is a movie fanatic.  I'm sure if I let him watch movies all day long every day he totally would.

 One morning I woke up to a "boop boop ba dooo!" sound coming from the living room.  I found "Angel Moroni" calling us all to wake up.

He had snuck into our room and swiped Matt's bag pipe practice piece.   I probably should have reprimanded him right away, but it was just so cute























  Look at that stretch..... she will be crawling so soon.

 These kids are so great.

 I went to change Hannah while making dinner and came back to a half eaten butter stick.  If Houston's around hide your butter, or it will not be safe.

 Several Friday evenings this month we have roasted hot dogs for dinner at the park.  The boys love it  (and so do I, easy dinner : ) A good way to celebrate another week of school finished.  

 Smores.  Just like on the BEAST movie.  I love to hear them go through the steps. "first you take the graham, then you roast the mallow, then put the chocolate on the graham and STUFF IT!" That last step is the most important in case you were wondering.

 Heath thought it was so cool that he had a pirate sister.

 Krispy Kreme had a promotion called "dress like a pirate day"  If you dressed the part you got a whole box of doughnuts for free.  We drug our friend Kaitlyn along and had a little tasty treat.

We have so many favorite parks here. One has a nice shooting range.

 This sign made me laugh probably far more than it was worth. It was right next to the ditch at the shooting range. I tried so hard to talk Matt into squatting next to it, but he just wouldn't oblige.

 We have been reading the Book of Mormon every night for almost 3 years.  We only read about 7 -10 verses a night because our attention spans aren't the longest, but we Finished!  I love this book.  I know that it has brought me peace and understanding in God's plan. It has helped our children learn  more of their Savior, Jesus Christ through reading it as a family. It has brought peace to our home and helped us to keep our focus on the right things each day.    I love this quote, and really feel that we are beginning to see some of these blessings.

themselves and with their children, the spirit of that great

 Our preschool group took a field trip to Purina Dog Farm.  It was So super fun and the weather was marvelous!

 Our boys just love this place.

 After the farm, we went to Ava's Grandparent's house for lunch. Her Grandmother was such a wonderful hostess and treated us like royalty.  Our trip was even complete with ice cream!

 Then we went over to Grandpa's farm and picked to our hearts content! We sure ate well that next week, let me tell you!

His one rule in the garden was that no parent could get onto a child for anything.  They could pick, step on, squish anything they wanted.  It was kind of hard to let them have free reign, but they did really well, and  it made sense.  If this is their exposure to a garden, they should have good feelings and memories, not remember being in trouble the whole time.  Good rule at Grandpa Daniel's house.

 Grandpa Fo called Matt one Monday night and asked if he would want to go to one of the play off games!  Who wouldn't ?   A friend of Grandpa had a couple extra tickets!

 They had a blast and the cards won 3 to 1.   After the game they tried to talk Matt into letting them drop him off at home so he wouldn't have to ride the Metro.  He convinced them it was no big deal, and that he'd be happy to ride the metro.  When he got home he called Grandpa to see how they were doing. Grandpa said they were still sitting in the parking lot at the game.  So note to self,  the Metro is WAY faster than parking at a game.
