BANG!

After the ice melted, we had a few days of nice weather. We took full advantage of the running space!

The Uncles took advantage of it too, and got a pretty good chunk of the house sided. (Sam Jim Matt Luke)

These two are so cute!

Sweet beautiful baby Nina came for a visit on New Years Eve. I think everyone was there! (except Katie and Johnny of course)

21 of the 25 grandchildren, and all 4 of the soon expected grandchildren were in attendance.

Our poor boys were in bed by 8, so we really got to enjoy ourselves!

The new year rolled in with a "BANG!" And FYI, it is not a Spanish game, but Italian.

Grannie slaved away all night making pizza for the tribe and Aunt Kathy & Uncle Dennis stopped in for a while. It was a grand night!

We bid farewell to all the Utah visitors on Friday morning, then Saturday night Super Snowstorm 2014 hit the area. Sub zero lows at night and single digit highs during the day. It's cold outside folks! Pete and Amy had come Saturday and ended up stranded here for a couple days, but it wasn't a bad kind of stranded.

I am so grateful for a warm house and running water right now. I remember past storms...

There was a baby heifer born on Christmas morning. Heath's prayed for her almost every night, that she will stay warm. So far she's fairing the cold just fine Matt says. (Since he and Sam and Grandpa are about the only people that have ventured into the frigid outdoors to do chores)

To pass the time we've been snuggling on the couch in blankets, building things, making treats, playing on Grandma's ipad,

playing games,

and pretending we're knights.

We have not been cutting anyone's hair.

What's Christmas without the Goose?

Christmas at the Hansen house is a crazy fun time. This year everyone was there at one point or another during the week but Katie and her family, and Johnny who is on his mission in CA.
(Johnny called Christmas afternoon and we all spent about 40 minutes talking with him. He's doing well and sounds very happy.)

There were lots of tasty treats,

brand new Grandbabies,


and tired little boys passing out on the couch in their rubber boots on Christmas Eve.

Christmas morning brought Christmas Cereal, a load of presents under the tree and tasty stocking treats from Santa.

Grandma made all the kiddo's new wonderful Christmas pajamas, Sammy got the boys Nerf swards, and they gave each other capes. Life doesn't get much better than that when you're 2 and 3.

Matt has had a dream to deep fry a turkey since Thanksgiving. On Christmas day he made that dream a reality.

Grandpa got a deep fryer a year or so ago, so Matt put it to use.

From what I heard, it was delicious!

Poor Grandpa got sick Christmas Eve and was puking all night and all day. In the late afternoon he started to feel mobile again and ventured down stairs for a bit. Sammy and I got it that night (hence I didn't feel up to eating any of that delicious turkey) and Matt, Jimmy, Tahnee & Grandma got it later on. Luckily none of the kiddo's started throwing up.
